As part of Stretch Director’ Carlotta Allum's commitment to storytelling with prisoners she is developing a toolkit called The Story Inside. Carlotta has been reserching digital storytelling for her PhD at Central Saint Martins University of the Arts London.
Through this practice based research Carlotta is exploring the true worth of creative storytelling and how it can help vulnerable people vision a better future for themselves. This will be able to applied outside of prison in the future, the role of storytelling in our making sense of our lives is much heralded.
Stretch delivers bespoke storytelling projects to many groups, most recently Women and Girls who are surviving domextic violence, groups from MIND, addiction groups, groups of carers and any vulnerable people who benefit from being heard. In 2026 these tools will be refined and available as an open source tool.
